Right to be forgotten.
Connecticut Secretary, Inc. has recognized the importance of our clients' right to be forgotten a number of years ago. We started implementing data storage limitations two years ago and we routinely go through and purge our contact manager of client data after a period of time. If your invoices with Connecticut Secretary, Inc. are satisfied, you always maintain the right to request we purge your personally identifiable data and files from our systems. Also, you have the right to delete any and all data from your Client Portal account. Just please be sure that you retain copies of your files, as we cannot be responsible for files or materials that clients lose.
Connecticut Secretary does use third-party products and links and services on our website to enhance security. We used to self-host our client portal ourselves and we used secure encryption to provide security and privacy of all file materials and client projects. Maintaining the level of security and privacy through constant updates and security patches became burdensome and extremely costly for us, both monetarily and with the time spent applying patches, and we worried that in the future we'd not be as good at maintaining the secure areas of our website as we wanted. We made the decision to utilize third-party apps that had a long history of file and product safety and had extensive experience focusing on security and extremely safe and in some instances bank-grade file security as the primary focus of their business to protect our clients' very valuable work materials. Connecticut Secretary, Inc. invests heavily in providing the safest and most secure programs available to ensure client privacy and security with all of our products and service offerings.
